Acer AL1716FB Review:
The Acer AL1716FB 17″ LCD Computer Monitor gives more than its size portrays, with a contrast ratio that beats a vast majority of other monitors. Acer AL1716FB’s 17″ display is more than enough for almost all uses, while still maintaining a slim design to give you plenty of room around it, and the fast response time of 5ms makes the Acer AL1716FB 17″ LCD computer monitor a firm favorite for gamers and film viewers alike. With a brightness of 300cd/m2, the Acer AL1716FB 17″ LCD computer monitor is surprisingly immersing.

Considering it was part of the bundle, Acer AL1716FB came at a good price. I would not buy Acer AL1716FB lcd monitor at regular retail price, however. There are much better and more reliable monitors out there. Acer’s customer service is terrible, so you just better hope that nothing goes wrong with your Acer product. Fortunately, it does have a 3-year warranty if something should happen to it. The design is okay…simple, but okay. Color is nice. Acer AL1716FB has good contrast and a fast refresh rate at 5ms. It only uses 40W of power. But you can’t adjust the height (you can only tilt the monitor back and forth through about 25 degrees), so you may have to sit it on a box or something if it is too low. It also doesn’t have any speakers and it has no DVI input.

Pros: Acer AL1716FB has 0.264 mm dot pitch, which is somewhat better than some similarly priced monitors.Its wide viewing angle (160 degrees) is useful whenever the screen is being viewed by more than one person at the same time.

Cons: Acer AL1716FB has only 1280×1024 resolution.This is not out of line with the product’s price, but is lower than the average monitor on the market today.
